Peacock is a streaming website that is based in the US which is owned by NBCUniversal, a part of Comcast. it is relatively a streaming platform that was founded In April 15 2020 and launched in July 15, 2020. it has become one of the major streaming platform that offers movies, TV shows, live sport and news. It is particularly knows for offering a free and paid subscription choice.
Social media is one of the most important part of peacocks marketing plan. They use social media to promote their products, attract subscribers and creates awareness to the audience in very competitive streaming market. in the entertainment industry, social media player vital role in streaming platform. This is because it helps them reaches their their target audience instantly.

Social media platforms
Peacock used several social media platform to gain more audiences which are TikTok, Instagram, X(Twitter), and Youtube. Each social media platform serves different purposes in their marketing.
On TikTok, they use the platform buy posting short clips of their movies and shows that gain the audience attention mainly they post comics or funny moments in the movie or show and tell them that they can watch the movie on their platforms, On Instagram, they share posters, show promotion to get audience’s attention. On X(Twitter), they post sports clips, updates and also interact either people. on Youtube , they post trailers , interviews, previews of upcoming shows or movies.
Even though Peacock seems to have less follower compared to other platforms like Netflix, Peacock focuses on specific audience mainly sports fan, which makes them different from other platform and they use their uniqueness to gain audiences attention.

Peacock engages with their audiences in lots of ways. they create a short form content which is easy to share and also made to be viral. most part of their strategy is focused on sharing sports highlights and promotive tv shows, movies and sports events

The streaming platforms are very competitive and since peacock is new compared to other platform, it can be scary that they might not be recognized in the whole world as where every platform is woking hard to maintain their audience and get new ones so they might be forced to work twice harder than other platforms.
